A channel partner program sets the business terms of the partnership, such as discounts, territories, tiers, and minimum purchases. A channel marketing program is the support a manufacturer runs on top of those terms: assets, training, joint planning, co-op funds, and measurement. Most manufacturers need both, and the marketing program decides whether partners actively sell the line.
